Paveking has carried out numerous Mill and Replace projects around SA. Asphalt milling is aimed at removing the top layer of asphalt from the road or pavement surface without disturbing the sub-base.
Mill & Replace asphalt repair involves planning the pavement to an appropriate depth. The old material is removed, an adhesive coat is added, and then the new asphalt is installed. The area is then rolled to ensure an even surface. This improves the appearance of your parking lot or drive and removes tripping hazards, possible injuries, or vehicle damage.
The Paveking milling process leaves the sub-base intact so new asphalt can be installed over the top, creating a new, smooth surface that saves both time and money on a paving project.
Paveking normally advises clients to employ the milling option when a road surface has become too elevated, due to repeated repaving, and needs a few mm of thickness taken off the top.
